Get to Know Brooke

Brooke’s journey to becoming a Doula started in February of 2024, after experiencing the birth of her best friend’s first child. Despite living in Massachusetts, Brooke dropped everything to drive over an hour and a half to be present. The delivery took place at a Birthing Center in New Hampshire, close to where they grew up together. Brooke arrived at just the right moment to guide her laboring friend inside where she physically cared for, encouraged, and soothed her friend throughout the entire birthing process. Brooke stayed into the evening with new family, remarking on how beautiful, peaceful, and full of love the entire process had been. She even got to cut their umbilical cord!

One year later, a Birth Doula Workshop taught by a Midwife with over 700 labor and deliveries was set for the exact same day as Brooke’s first birth experience. The timing was kismet. The workshop was 32 hours long, stretched out over two weekends.

Brooke has known since childhood that she would someday become a mother; she has a passion for babies, toddlers, and children. They bring so much joy and authenticity into the world. In Vermont she has had experience as a Toddler Teacher, an After School Teacher, as well as an elementary-level Special Education Paraprofessional. Since moving to Massachusetts in 2023, she has been the Nanny to the most wonderful 3-year-old whose family she has supported since the child was 8 months old.

Working with children has been Brooke’s path for as long as she can remember, but her friend’s birth inspired a whole new world of opportunity. Brooke knows that she is an amazing support person, and helping people of all ages has always been a driving force in her life.
